In other news, I have now finished uni for the year and have summer holidays. So keen for summer fun times. Also I need to actually do something with this sleepy little blog...

Hopscotch
One of my University papers at Massey is Art and Design Studio A. For part of this paper I had create a work that interacted or commented on my sight which was Courtney place. This is my final video.

Out of Time and Place
Within the business high rises of wellington I found this church. Its location and how it contrasts with its surroundings interested me.

Wanderer
On Friday I had no classes so after doing some drawings of Courtney place (first picture) for Art and Design Studio I decided to explore parts of wellington I had never had any reason to pass through.

Seahorse Mate
For one of my classes I had to chose an object that I will draw multiple times and then eventually reach some sort of abstract logo based conclusion. I happened to choose this seahorse from the table so I get to look after the little fellow for a while.

This and That
On my recent fiery crossing of the Cook straight I decided to go through my computer and find any riding clips of myself over the last year or so and plonk them into a short edit. And here it is.

Inventing Materials
This is my end use board for one of my university papers. For the paper I had to experiment with a bunch of materials with the intention of changing their properties. My final material ended up being layers of fabric with lines sewn into them to create cells to hold expanding foam in certain places/shapes. For this end use board I wanted to give it stereotypical aesthetic qualities of action sports companies to fit the chosen application.

HEY!
last night i flew to Auckland with Tim and was met at the airport by a nice man who I then bought this car from. Today I drove it down from Auckland to Wellington. It is a 1991 Nissan s13 Silvia - SR20DE - Auto
I had a bunch of fun driving through the hill sections. It is a little rough but has lots of potential for fun so I am happy.

Cardboard Kitchen
For my Art and Design Studio assignment I had to produce a work biased loosely on "narrative of self". I was not super happy with were i ended up but it was an interesting process. Here is what I wrote to explain my work.
"For my final piece I have crafted the entire bench top
surface of my kitchen from cardboard so that it is raised up to a height that
is convenient for me. For some years now
I have found bench tops and other parts of houses to be a poor fit for myself
as I am a rather tall person. This cardboard installation is more of a sketch
showing how things could be in a world ideal for myself but inconvenient for
others. The aesthetics of the cardboard help to establish a sense of this being
not so much a permanent fixture and more a proposal of a possibility. I came to
this final work because I was experimenting with scale and proportion and I
feel that this fits well as this work puts the kitchen into the
same scale as me. I am presenting photographs of my work because it would be
almost impossible to bring the pieces I have made in and once they were out of
context they would make very little sense."
More work that I am doing/have done can be seen on the blog that I use for my Digital Design and Visualization class.

Spaces
Yes this is a super lame post in which I show of my new bedroom with the same things in it.
Deal with it.

Bad Ideas
On Friday Daniel and I decided it would be a good idea to cover our bikes with wood grain vinyl (his idea). It was not a good idea. At a distance the bikes looked kinda cool and interesting but up close they are just messy and awful.
Read more for pictures of both bikes.

Le Bons
While Tim was down we went for a surf at Le Bons bay one day. (Although i'm not sure that what I was up to would be classed as surfing I will claim it in order to try give this shitty blog some form of credibility.) Anyway, it was a good time for both of us even if it was super cold.

Waipara West
Not so long ago I was given the task of taking photos of the vineyard.
This is possibly the weakest thing I could post photos of, but fuck it. That's what I do.
